Hamer Dodds

Hamer Dodds is an artist and scientist. He received a Masters degree in Biochemistry from London University and is a Master of Fine Art (Edinburgh). He qualified as a teacher at Bristol University.

He has exhibited work in the UK, mainland Europe and the USA and illustrated covers for botanic books. His work focuses on the space where art and science overlap. He pays particular attention to the eco-semiotics of biological systems and the tension that exists between the mundane and ultramundane aspects that exist here. His work is influenced by Kemp, Tufte and Haeckel.

His recent works are concerned with the relationships between phylogeny and biodiversity.
